Jon Rahm tries another shot in a loaded field after coming up short in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. In fact, he tied for 17th and finished two over total in that event. As the current number one golfer in the world, he needs to step up soon if he wants to keep that spot.

Rory Mcllroy had an explosive first round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and even had a sliver of the lead through three rounds. But his last round meltdown dropped him back to 13th, and you would have never known he had a shot if you tuned in the last round.

Justin Thomas is coming off of a sixth-place finish at The Genesis Open, which also happened to be a loaded field. On top of that, he won this event last year and has some solid momentum coming into this one.

Dustin Johnson should be a golfer you keep an eye on but not throw your money at. His recent results have shown a T45, T25 and a missed cut. He also played fairly poorly at this event last season.

Collin Morikawa has not had much action so far this year, but hopefully, he has used that to his advantage. His latest performance was a second-place tie at The Genesis Open, where he had roared back with six under on the final round. As the second-best golfer in the world, this golf course suits his game, and he is due for a win any time now.

Most Likely Favorites to Succeed

Viktor Hovland hopefully has enough time to rest and get some quality time to prepare for this event. He finally looks like the fourth-best golfer in the world with recent performances after being cut at the Phoenix Open.

Once he was cut, he tied for fourth at The Genesis Open and just recently tied for second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Both of those events had loaded fields and tough courses to challenge the world’s best.
